How to Prepare Tuna Tartare

Tuna tartare is easy to make, but there are some essential things you need to consider, and you shouldn’t skip them.

First, you’ll need fresh and raw tuna. It’s essential that tuna is fresh and that it is sushi grade. When buying tuna, be sure to do it in a trusted store and always ask for a recommendation. Also, it would help if you told for what you need the tuna and plan on eating it raw. That way, you ensure that you get the first-class fresh tuna meat that you can safely eat.

If you don’t know what sushi-grade fish means, we’ll explain. Sushi is raw fish, and for you to eat it safely, it needs to be prepared from high-quality fish. So, you want to find tuna meant to be used in sushi and to be marked as Grade 1. The fish needs to have good color, and it shouldn’t have a funky, fishy smell.

When you buy the fish, it needs to be refrigerated before the preparation and being served. Also, be sure to plan your shopping well, because you should eat raw tuna the day you buy it.
